Zoe-perry

Perry is a Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC comedy Roseanne. Perry was forbidden to begin acting in front of her family until she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the stress it would cause. Perry said she felt nervous to be an actor at the age of 16, but she began acting in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer from Boston University. Perry began her career in New York after graduation, performing in minor parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry return to California to work as an actress in the theater. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry played a supporting role in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal which starred her father. The character she played was a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another portrayal by her younger mother. The role was offered to her by auditioning for an open role despite having a connection to the character.
